Tara hahuuła Atleo is from the Ahousaht First Nation and currently resides in Nanaimo, BC. Tara has worked on community development projects in her home community for the last 7 years, focusing on sustainable employment opportunities and continued stewardship over traditional territories, and has also worked with urban first nations services in Nanaimo. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in economics from Vancouver Island University, and is currently working on a thesis to complete a MSc in Environmental Economics from the University of London.
